Production rises in 3Q
The market had a great summer. An estimated 852 million metric tons of total aggregates were produced and shipped for consumption in the United States in the third quarter of 2005, compared with 846 million metric tons in the same period of 2004, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The estimated output of total aggregates produced for consumption in the first 9 months of 2005 was 2.2 billion metric tons, compared with 2.1 billion metric tons in the same period of 2004.
